Eni announces creation of Vår Energi

Eni announces the completion of the merger of Point Resources AS and Eni Norge AS – an associate of Eni S.p.A. – resulting in the creation of Vår Energi, an independent leader in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Norway. The merger took place after the pending conditions were met, among them having secured a third party financing of $3 billion non-recourse to sponsors and after receiving regulatory approvals

Owned 69.6% by Eni and 30.4% by HitecVision, Vår Energi has about 800 employees and 17 oil and gas fields with a wide geographical coverage, from the Barents Sea to the North Sea. Production in 2018 is estimated at 170,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) and the company has reserves and resources of more than 1,250 million barrels of oil equivalent (Mboe). Production from existing fields is expected to reach 250,000 boepd by 2023.

HSE performance, project delivery and production efficiency will be priority areas for management, led by Kristin F. Kragseth, CEO, and Philip D. Hemmens, Chairman of the Board.

The creation of Vår Energi AS is a major step forward in the strategy to reinforce Eni’s presence in OECD countries with further upstream potential.

Axens Awarded Licences For The Saudi Aramco Jazan Refinery & Terminal Project

  SEPTEMBER 23 - 2011 Axens' technologies have been selected by Saudi Aramco for its Jazan Refinery & Terminal Project. The refinery, scheduled to be commissioned in December 2016, will have a capacity of 400,000 BPSD. The units under Axens design are: Naphtha hydrotreating for feedstock purification aromizing ™ – CCR Reforming for aromatics production C5/C6 isomerization unit to provide a high octane component for the gasoline pool ParamaX® complex enabling to produce high purity paraxylene and benzene. These units are designed and integrated to maximize the gasoline production and the aromatics throughput for petrochemical use. The Gas Oil desulfurization hydrotreater (Prime-D™) is also under Axens design. This Prime-D unit – one of the world's largest – will produce ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) with less than 10 ppm of sulfur. The refinery will deliver gasoline and diesel that meet Euro V specifications.

NFE Finalizes Agreements with Pemex to Complete Lakach Offshore Gas Field, Deploy FLNG Solution

Nov. 22, 2022 New Fortress Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NFE) (“NFE” or the “Company”) announced today that it has finalized its agreements with Petróleos Mexicanos (“Pemex”), Mexico’s state-owned oil company, to develop and operate an integrated upstream and natural gas liquefaction project off the coast of Veracruz in Southeastern Mexico.
