McDermott receives Conditional Letter of Award for EPCC Contract of Tilenga Project

June 9, 2021 A consortium of a subsidiary of McDermott International, Ltd and Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation today announced it has received a conditional Letter of Award for the future contract valued at approximately $2 billion from Total for the Tilenga project . Formal contract award remains subject to Tilenga Partners approval. The Tilenga project is located in the Lake Albert Basin, Republic of Uganda and is the centerpiece of oil projects projected to bring investments of over $10 billion to Uganda and Tanzania. Tilenga includes six oil fields and will feature 426 oil wells at full production. The consortium will provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) services for the development of an onshore oil field that will generate up to 200,000 barrels per day (BPD). Schlumberger Awarded Extensive Service Contract for Tilenga Onshore Oil Development in Uganda by TotalEnergies

March 08, 2022 Schlumberger announced today that it has been awarded an extensive contract for drilling, completions and production services by TotalEnergies for its Tilenga onshore oil development in Uganda. The scope of the contract includes the provision of directional drilling services, upper completions, lower completions, artificial lift solutions, and wellheads for the Tilenga development, which comprises six fields with up to 426 wells, which will be developed across 31 wellpads. “The Tilenga project is strategically significant to accelerated economic growth in Uganda. Eni starts gas production from Merakes Project deep offshore Indonesia

26 April 2021 Eni has started gas production from the Merakes Project , located in the East Sepinggan block in the Makassar Strait, deep offshore East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The Project is a deep-water gas field development at offshore Kutei Basin, with approximately 1,500 meters water depth. The five deep-water subsea wells will guarantee a production capacity of 450 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), equivalent to 85,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOED). The field has been connected to the Jangkrik Floating Production Unit (FPU), operated by Eni, at a distance of 45 km from Merakes field, taking advantage of the synergy and optimizing its producing capacity up to 750 MMSCFD together with the gas flowing from the Jangkrik gas field. The gas produced from Merakes is exported through subsea pipelines to the Jangkrik FPU. ExxonMobil / OMV Petrom: Deep water gas discovery offshore Romania

February 22, 2012 ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania Limited (EMEPRL), an affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation and OMV Petrom SA, the 51% subsidiary of OMV Aktiengesellschaft, today confirmed a potentially significant gas discovery offshore Romania. Operated by ExxonMobil, the Domino-1 well is the first deep water exploration well offshore Romania and has a total depth of more than 3,000 meters below sea level. The Domino-1 well is located in the Neptun Block , 170 kilometers offshore in water approximately 930 meters deep. The exploration well encountered 70.7 meters of net gas pay, resulting in a preliminary estimate for the accumulation ranging from 1.5 to 3 trillion cubic feet (42 to 84 billion cubic meters). Drilling operations started at year-end 2011 and are in the process to be finalized. ExxonMobil and OMV plan new 3D seismic acquisition during 2012. BASF breaks ground on MDI capacity expansion project at Geismar site

January 11, 2023 BASF has broken ground on the third and final phase of the methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) expansion project at its Verbund site in Geismar , Louisiana, announced in July 2022. The company will increase production capacity to approximately 600,000 metric tons per year by the middle of the decade to support the ongoing growth of its North American MDI customers. The investment for this final expansion phase, which takes place from 2022 to 2025, amounts to $780 million. Production Starts Up at Timimoun Gas Field in Algeria

03/29/2018 Total announces first gas from the Timimoun field in southwestern Algeria. The production complex with a capacity of around 5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day at plateau (around 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d)), is jointly operated by Sonatrach (51%), Total (37.75%) and Cepsa (11.25%). May 11, 2018 As part of the comprehensive partnership announced in 2017, Total has signed an agreement with Sonatrach to launch the engineering studies for a petrochemical project in Arzew , western Algeria. The project includes a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit and a polypropylene production unit with an output capacity of 550,000 tons per year. The project represents an investment of around $1.4 billion by the two partners (Sonatrach 51%, Total 49%), who are planning to start the front-end engineering and design (FEED) this summer, subject to approval by the relevant Algerian regulatory authorities. The facility will valorize propane, produced in large quantities locally, by transforming it into polypropylene, a plastic for which demand is growing strongly. November 12, 2018  Petróleo Brasileiro SA - Petrobras informs that yesterday it has started the production of oil and natural gas in the Búzios 2 area, in the pre-salt of Santos Basin, by means of platform P-75 , second unit installed in the Búzios field.  The FPSO (floating production, storage, and offloading unit of oil and gas) is located approximately 210 km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, at a water depth of 2,000 meters.  With a daily capacity to process up to 150,000 barrels of oil and compress up to 6 million cubic meters of natural gas, P-75 will produce through ten producing wells, also using seven injection wells. 5th March 2018 The platform vessel P-74 arrived, this Saturday (3/3), at the Búzios field in the Santos Basin pre-salt layer. The forecast is that it starts operating in the first half of this year. This project has a similar design to the others already in operation by Petrobras in the Santos Basin pre-salt and has been incorporating all the company's improvements and experiences. Given its complexity, however, Búzios represents a unique challenge in the oil exploration and production segment. 30/11/2022 Petrobras, following up on the releases disclosed on 09/29/2021, 10/04/2021, 03/04/2022 and 11/24/2022 informs that it concluded today the assignment of 5% of its interest in the Production Sharing Contract of the Surplus Volume of the Transfer of Rights, for the Búzios field , in the pre-salt of Santos Basin, to the partner CNOOC Petroleum Brasil Ltda. The Production Sharing Contract Amendment Term was signed today by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, putting the transaction into effect. The agreement results from the option to purchase an additional portion, exercised by CPBL on 09/29/2021 and the amount related to the transaction was received by Petrobras on 11/24/2022, according to the previous announcement. As of 12/01/2022, Petrobras will hold 85% stakes in the Production Sharing Contract for the Surplus Volume of the Transfer of Rights of the Búzios field, while CPBL will hold 10% and CNODC Brasil Petróleo e Gás Ltda (CNODC), 5%.
