Oman: TotalEnergies is Rolling Out its Integrated Gas Strategy

January 20, 2023 In line with its growth strategy in gas and LNG, a fuel contributing to the energy transition, TotalEnergies announces the start of gas production from onshore Block 10 in the Sultanate of Oman as well as an agreement with Oman LNG for a long-term LNG purchase contract. Start of gas production from Block 10 TotalEnergies announces the start of gas production from the Mabrouk North-East field in the onshore Block 10. TotalEnergies holds a 26.55% interest in Block 10, with OQ holding 20% and Shell, operator, holding 53.45%. Gas production is expected to reach 500 million standard cubic feet per day by mid-2024. The produced gas will supply the Omani gas network, feeding both local industry and LNG export facilities. This production start-up follows the signing of the concession agreement in December 2021. Total strengthens its natural gas presence in Oman

April 8, 2019 Total and the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Sultanate of Oman (MOG) have signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) for the award to Total of an exploration license on Block 12 with significant prospective gas resources. Under the terms of this HoA, both parties will finalize in the coming months, on an exclusive basis, a definitive agreement that will grant to Total 100% working interest and operatorship of the exploration block 12, located in Central Oman. Shell signs gas concession agreement for Block 10 in Oman

  21 Dec 2021 Shell Integrated Gas Oman BV, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, along with its partners, OQ and Marsa Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (a joint venture between TotalEnergies and OQ), have signed a concession agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals on behalf of the government of the Sultanate of Oman to develop and produce natural gas from Block 10 . The parties also signed a separate gas sales agreement for gas produced from the block. The two agreements follow an interim upstream agreement signed in February 2019. Shell’s entry into this block signifies a further commitment to Oman, while enhancing and diversifying Shell’s gas supply. “These agreements represent a major step for Shell and for our relationship with Oman. Ecopetrol acquires 30% of the Gato do Mato discovery in Brazil's Pre-Salt

Oct. 21, 2019 Ecopetrol S.A.  reports that its subsidiary Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil Ltda has entered into an agreement with Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. to acquire 30% of the interests, rights and obligations in two areas corresponding to the BM-S-54 Concession Agreement and the Sul de Gato do Mato Shared Production Agreement , located offshore in Brazil's Santos basin, in the so-called Pre-Salt, where a hydrocarbon deposit known as "Gato do Mato" was discovered. Under this agreement, Shell will reduce its stake from 80% to 50% and continue as operator, while the French company Total will retain the remaining 20%. In addition to these oil companies, the Brazilian government also participates in the Shared Production Agreement, through Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA). Saipem: awarded offshore contract for Gato do Mato development in Brazil

June 15, 2022 Saipem confirms that it has been recently awarded a limited notice to proceed (LNTP) by BW Offshore SPV PTE Ltd, for the early-stage engineering services for the supply of an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) unit to be then provided to Shell and its partners for the development of the Gato do Mato oil and gas field located approximately 200 km offshore Brazil in the Santos Basin, in water depths of around 2,000 meters. The LNTP is valued up to 50 million USD. Saipem’s share is worth approximately 25 million USD. The LNTP is a key step ahead for this initiative and Saipem project team is already fully mobilized. JULY 20, 2016 Saudi Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser today presided over a signing ceremony of the Fadhili gas project, marking a new milestone in the company’s drive to expand gas production and supply to meet growing domestic demand for energy. The new Saudi Aramco mega project will help boost production and supply with clean-burning natural gas, lessening dependence on oil for power generation. Joining the Saudi Aramco management team at the ceremony were CEOs and executives from engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, and other service providers involved in the development and execution of the Fadhili gas project. Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019, the Fadhili gas project will become a key component of the Kingdom’s master gas system, processing gas from both onshore and offshore fields.
