Yantai LNG gets approval to build receiving terminal in northern China

The National Development and Reform Commission of China officially approved construction of the largest LNG receiving terminal in northern China. The Yantai LNG terminal is fully owned by Poly-GCL Pan-Asia International Energy and will start construction in April 2020. The terminal is located in a petrochemical-dedicated port area in West Yantai Port, Shandong Province, China. Phase I includes one 266,000 m3 capacity receiving berth, five 200,000 m3 LNG storage tanks, one 50,000 m3 transshipment berth, and regasification facilities. Operational in 2022, the terminal will receive up to 5 MTPA of LNG and regasify up to 40 million m3 of gas per day.
