CUEL Limited has been awarded a contract by TechnipFMC for the fabrication of modules for the recently announced ExxonMobil crude expansion project in Beaumont, Texas, USA.

TechnipFMC was awarded the detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by ExxonMobil for the Beaumont refinery expansion project, covering the addition of new units to be integrated into the existing facilities at the refinery. The expansion will optimize the facility by giving ExxonMobil the flexibility to run lighter crudes.

The CUEL awarded scope is the module fabrication of Pre-assembled Piperack (PAR) and Pre-assembled Unit (PAU) modules. The fabrication works are planned to start at CUEL’s Laem Chabang fabrication yard in Chonburi province, Thailand later in 2019.

The contract was signed by TechnipFMC management and CUEL management.

Continuing its business strategic direction, CUEL has successfully secured this module fabrication project in the refining industry and thereby expanding the client base to the North American region

It is a further significant milestone for CUEL in the on shore refining and petrochemical industry and builds on CUEL’s existing demonstrated capabilities in the offshore oil and gas industry and offshore wind industry.
