Turkey’s fourth import terminal and second FSRU has started operations today at a port in the Dörtyol district, located in the Hatay province.
The MOL FSRU Challenger, the world’s largest FSRU (263,000cbm), has a 20 Mcbm/d send-out capacity. Botas chartered the vessel from MOL for 3 years.
Turkey has three other import terminals: two land-based (Aliaga and Marmara Ereglisi) and one floating import terminal (using the FSRU Neptune) which started operations in December 2016.
