BW Offshore has signed an extension agreement for Abo FPSO with Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd, a subsidiary of ENI S.p.A., until end Q4 2022.

August 15, 2022 Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras informs that, as a result of the progress of the development project for the Búzios field , in the Santos Basin pre-salt area, it signed today a contract with Keppel Shipyard Limited for the construction of platform P-80 , the ninth unit to be installed in the field.  This unit will be one of the largest to operate in Brazil and one of the largest in the global oil and gas industry, with capacity to produce up to 225 thousand barrels of oil per day, process up to 12 million m3/day of gas, and store more than 1.6 million barrels.  The project foresees the interconnection of 14 wells, 7 of which are oil producers and 7 injectors. The platform will be self-owned, of the FPSO type (floating unit that produces, stores, and transfers oil), with a minimum local content index of 25%. Production is scheduled to start in 2026. Equinor transfers operatorship for Gulf of Mexico field to Shell

29 JUNE 2022 Equinor has agreed to sell to Shell 51% of its interest in the North Platte deep water development project in the US Gulf of Mexico. Equinor will retain 49% interest in the project, and Shell will become the new operator of the field. To reflect this change, Equinor and Shell have agreed to rename the North Platte development to the Sparta development . Sparta straddles four blocks of the Garden Banks area, 275 kilometers (171 miles) off the coast of Louisiana in approximately 1,300 meters (4265 feet) of water depth. Front-end engineering and design (FEED) has been matured for the project. Equinor and Shell will now work closely to review the work that has been completed and to update the development plan. PTTEP enters into a large gas field in the UAE Immediately increasing reserves and expanding foothold in strategic investment area

June 11, 2024  PTTEP acquires a 10% participating interest in the Ghasha Concession , one of the largest natural gas fields in the United Arab Emirates which aims to operate with net zero emissions. This strategic investment will immediately add the company’s petroleum reserves.
