Texas LNG, a Glenfarne Group Company, and Enbridge Execute Natural Gas Pipeline Transportation Agreement

Jan 18, 2022 Texas LNG Brownsville LLC (“Texas LNG”), a controlled subsidiary of Glenfarne Group, LLC (“Glenfarne”) developing a four million tonnes per annum (“MTPA”) liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) export terminal in the Port of Brownsville, South Texas, and Enbridge Inc. (“Enbridge”) (TSX: ENB) (NYSE: ENB), a leading North American energy infrastructure company, have executed a pipeline transportation precedent agreement for the expansion of the Valley Crossing Pipeline (“VCP”) to deliver approximately 720 million cubic feet per day of natural gas to Texas LNG’s export facility for a term of at least 20 years. VCP consists of a 160-mile 42- and 48-inch diameter pipeline originating at Agua Dulce, a major Texas gas hub, and extending to the Port of Brownsville. A 10-mile lateral will be built to extend the pipeline to Texas LNG’s facility, along with the addition of compression facilities on the existing pipeline. VCP’s pipeline header at Agua Dulce, a growing gas pricing and transpo...

A massive Tex-Mex natgas development: Valley Crossing Pipeline enters service

November 7th 2018 Last week, Enbridge’s Valley Crossing Pipeline —a 168-mile line running from Agua Dulce, Texas, to the Gulf of Mexico east of Brownsville—entered service, with the capacity to move up to 2.6 billion cubic feet a day (Bcf/d) of natural gas south of the border. Valley Crossing will reinforce the Lone Star State’s status as a major provider of natural gas to Mexico, connecting its primary customer—the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Mexico’s state-owned utility—to the Agua Dulce gas hub. It will also help support Mexico’s growing electricity generation needs, as power companies like the CFE choose natural gas—a cleaner-burning fuel than fuel oil or diesel, and more economically viable via pipeline than imported LNG. “Mexico imports much of its natural gas needs now—its total market is 8 Bcf a day, with about 5.5 Bcf a day coming from the U.S.—and a lot of that is from Texas,” notes Kurt Knight-Turcan, Enbridge’s business development lead for Valley Crossing. Adds...

The terminal injected its first megawatt-hours (MWh) of gas into the grid operated by GRTgaz, using LNG from Norway. TotalEnergies has contracted 50% of the terminal's annual capacity of around 5 billion cubic meters, to supply it with LNG from its global portfolio. The remaining capacity will be marketed according to rules approved by the regulator. Cape Ann in Key Figures Maximum regasification capacity: 5 billion cubic meters per year, or around 10% of French consumption Storage capacity: 142,500 cubic meters Vessel dimensions: 283 meters x 43.40 meters Draught: 50 meters Deadweight: 112,457 tons Lightship: 31,676 tons Date of first launch: June 2010 Owner: Höegh LNG Flag: French

France: TotalEnergies Demobilizes Its Floating LNG Terminal in Le Havre

November 25, 2025 In 2022, when Europe faced a major energy crisis due to a sharp decline in gas imports from Russia, France had to increase its imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to ensure its own energy security and contribute to that of Europe. To this end, and at the request of the authorities, TotalEnergies provided France, at its own expense and without any public subsidies, with a LNG floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in the port of Le Havre . This terminal acted as a “safety net,” with its additional gas import capacity proving potentially very useful in the event of significant consumption peaks caused by winter weather conditions or geopolitical tensions. In doing so, TotalEnergies made a full contribution to the country’s energy sovereignty in a highly tense and uncertain context. Now that gas supply conditions in France and Europe have stabilized, the Company notes that the floating LNG terminal in Le Havre is no longer necessary, as evidenced by its lack ...

BW Singapore floating regasification unit to enter operation in the coming weeks

8 April 2025 The regasification unit BW Singapore, which has been moored 8.5 kilometres off the coast of Punta Marina since 28 February, is ready to enter operation. With the arrival of the first cargo of U.S. LNG, delivered by the tanker Flex Artemis on 3 April, the commissioning activities of the facility preliminary to the start of the first phase of commercial operations, scheduled for early May, began. This was confirmed by Snam CEO Stefano Venier during a visit to the offshore terminal by Environment and Energy Security Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin and Emilia-Romagna Region President Michele de Pascale. “With the entry into operation of the Ravenna terminal , we are adding another fundamentally important element to the process of securing the country's energy supply, which began in the aftermath of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and has been made possible by the joint efforts of institutions and companies at both national and local level,” Venier commented. "We are no...

GAZ-SYSTEM completed the expansion of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście

The comprehensive facility expansion, involving the installation of additional vaporisers, the construction of a second jetty and erection of the third in-process LNG storage tank resulted in the increase of annual regasification capacity of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście up to 8.3 bcm as of 1 January 2025. The expansion of the Terminal has contributed to the achievement of one of the key objectives of the Polish Energy Policy pertaining to diversification of the sources and directions of natural gas supply. Owing to the LNG Terminal, Poland has gained the possibility of importing liquefied natural gas from various parts of the world, and following the regasification process, the fuel is further transported by pipelines across the country and beyond. In 2015, the capacity of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście being an entry point to the national transmission network, amounted to 5 bcm per year. By comparison, as of 1 January 2025, the regasification capacity of the Terminal is 8.3 bcm an...

This development supports the continued diversification of supply sources and strengthens the security of supply for Europe. Project milestones All conditions to enable future customers to ac...

Acquisition 50% EemsEnergyTerminal

Vopak has completed the principle agreement that was announced in April 2023 and has become a 50% shareholder in EemsEnergyTerminal , an LNG import terminal of 8 billion cubic meter (bcm) per year located in the Eemshaven in the Netherlands. This terminal has been operational since September 2022. Gasunie and Vopak are working to increase the capacity further towards 10 bcm per year, highlighting the commitment of the partners to jointly develop and operate open access LNG infrastructure and contribute to the energy security of Europe. The partners are planning the further development of the Eemshaven site to facilitate the import of green hydrogen. The total investment by Vopak to acquire 50% of EemsEnergyTerminal is just above EUR 80 million with cash out in two installments in Q4 2023 and in Q2 2024. This acquisition will positively contribute to Vopak’s operating cash return for the remainder of the year and has limited impact on the Vopak full year 2023 EBITDA outlook.
